Arts in Mind is a week-long festival celebrating innovative collaborations between researchers at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN) and the creative and cultural sector. It showcases work that explores new ways to improve well-being and facilitate a better understanding of mental health, the brain, and the mind.

As part of the Early Career Award Researcher Scheme which provided the initial funding of Heroin Bodies, all of the 2017 project winners were invited to display their work at Somerset House. The Breathing Body animation, by Galia Rybitskaya was displayed along with a miniature replica of the original Museum of Drug Policy exhibition.
Heroin Bodies also won a prize for best project at this Showcase event.
HIT conference is focused on harm reduction is more important than ever given the current UK situation in terms of drug related deaths, novel psycoactive drugs, chemsex and a lack of political will to promote evidence-based approaches to these issues.
The Museum of Drug Policy is a pop-up arts and cultural hub featuring live programming and art from around the world that highlight how drug policies impact and shape our communities. The Museum transports audiences across the globe, pushing visitors to think and act outside the box through interactive installations, powerful documentary photos, multimedia displays and more.
Heroin Bodies installation explores the boundaries of interpretation & communication of academic research on opioid use, addiction and mortality in public spaces to create a thought-provoking environment for discussion.
The Museum of Drug Policy is supported by the Open Society Foundations and was first launched in New York City in April 2016.
